I messed up again.

Today I got it so wrong.really wrong.... By "it" I mean this being out in a public place thing. I do not like people generally very much and in return mostly they don't like me back.
The consequences of my stupidity today were that Lee did not get to see his specialist at hospital . We had waited weeks (maybe a couple of months) for this appointment. That in turn was after waiting nearly six months for new medication. Then I bolloxed it up.
We arrived at the hospital early. Yesterday I cut Lee's hair and insisted he shaved as he was beginning to look a bit long haired German Shepard. This morning I got him out all clean clothes and insisted he showered!!! This took over two hours to achieve and Lee looked really good. I wanted his consultants /specialists to be pleased with his progress.
We walked Monza dog.....
And then took him home first. then set off to hospital. This is the only photo I took on my camera today.
We were going to Temple Newsam park before the appointment. This was a mistake too....as we went straight to the hospital early .
The receptionist told us to come back in the afternoon as the doctor we would see was not even on site yet.
So we went to the supermarket a little further up the road. So how was this so wrong? well the thing here is that I had the mobile phone in my hand and it was on. On the way into the hospital as Lee was looking so good I took a photo  and a bit further on I took a selfie of both of us going in to the hospital. I have done this on every visit for the last eight years and that has been a lot of visits. Quite often I have put it on facebook as well.....That was where I bolloxed it today. The mobile phone being still on camera as we walked into the hospital. It was just in my hand. I was not really thinking about it.
When we got to the receptionist the second time we had already been reported for "filming" and when she saw the phone on and lit in my hand she assumed I was filming her. Then the whole thing went very bad.
" why are you filming?" I was asked. "yes you are! I can see you. You just turned it off. No I do not want to look at your phone. You were filming. I saw you. Filming is not allowed in the hospital at all."
Security were called. I saw the guard arrive . We had out the mobile phone and were both reading stuff on facebook. Others were doing the same. There is WIFI in the waiting room .
We were then called into a private room. The security guard followed at a distance and we got bollocked by a patronising head nurse.
The nurse had Lee's file. This meant it had not gone to the doctor for his appointment. We would have to wait another three quarters of an hour now because I had bolloxed up with the mobile phone.
There are no notices to say "NO FILMING" even though I was not! in fact there are no notices about mobile phones at all.
After our bollocking we were told to go back to the waiting area. by now everyone was watching us and the security guard loomed over us. We were made to feel very intimidated. basically we were glared out of the building. Whilst all the other people were using their mobile phones which were clearly on and lit.
We were so upset and scared we just left. Lee really needed to see the doctor/specialist too,
There is nothing at all I can do to make it right. The receptionist said I was filming her, so what ever I said was ignored anyway.
I was in tears. If there is a social faux pas to be made you can guarantee it will be me that makes it.

1st August 2018.

it is early and I am out early. but before I go ...this is the photos I took yesterday on the mobile phone. They are hardly radical are they? in fact they are not even very good. I would have deleted them but for all this fuss about me "filming" at the hospital and Lee not getting to see his consultant as a result.

Really I would not say that these photos were worth any of the upset and blame I have heaped on myself over this.
I was so upset. All I can think this morning is that I walked into something we did not know about. The receptionist was very touchy about the whole thing. She was right. I was wrong. it was very clear cut. She was also amazingly rude and intimidating. really really nasty in fact. The security guy all in black looming over our every move did not help either.
Something other than me and my stupid mobile phone has gone on here and it was not my fault even though I got the full treatment.
I have since checked NHS hospital's website. It says mobile phones are allowed and that free WIFI is given. IT says nothing what so ever that I can find about security...CCTV.....or filming . NOTHING! so how was I to know there was a problem? and why did I get get the full force of their displeasure?
We may never know.
We told the receptionist we were leaving and she sullenly said she would have another appointment sent out.
What is the betting on that one? I bet we never get the letter. I bet I am going to have to phone them again!!!
The nurse who patronised us in the private room came after us in the corridor. she patronised us some more. Lee politely said we were leaving as we could not wait any longer. We were told to phone their help line if there was a problem (they never reply/ or if they do it takes up to 72 hours). She also said that out clinic was running three quarters of an hour late.....Lee was the first patent! she had way laid his notes on the way to the doctor! I saw her. that is why we were late and had to wait!!!!

Just another Monday.

Just another Monday. A Monday in July . A Monday I am going to "work" and have been up to watch the sun rise. Yesterday I did get my Yorkshire puds and  Sunday roast....eventually. It is the same every week. I get all sorts of exotic ideas about it being a Sunday and therefore special and we should have a lovely meal. My view is not taken here in West Yorkshire. No day is special and no meal either. If I want a "Sunday roast" I have to make it myself. clear up the plates as they are just left on the sofa(yes really!) then wash up too. But I did get my Yorkshire puds and roast chicken. I wonder why I bother. I am not going to give in. Sunday roast it is. Even though I make it myself....... Lee did his usual thing and ate three mouthfuls and left the rest.
It rained. Then it rained some more. Therefore the work on the Fenix car did not happen. Filming from other days happenings did. When I came in from my day with the public all I heard was this video for you tube. He was so busy with it that he could not be bothered to come in for dinner anyway. When he did he did not want it.
I am not giving in. I want my Sunday dinner. It would be total defeat to give in!
Monday morning.looks like the sun might come back. it is already out.....
"who's yer friend?" asked the second old guy who was looking for the first old guy so they could walk around the Tarn and gossip.......
I told him the first old guy was at the boat house. woman on bike was out too and a few runners. yep it is going to be a nice day.
 The moon was still out.....
and the swan family out for their dawn breakfast.
 a pink morning.
This morning I picked up a 1960's Roddy doll....here she is by the tarn .....(i think the outfit and ribbons are original too)

So here we are on "just another Monday" in July. I am out all day. Monday was usually when stalker man did his stalking, and I was told by the police that he was too have a police warning. I do not think that happened, as he turned up and started to talk to me again. This has all happened before , so he knows exactly what he is doing. As I know he has a police warning in the past and chose to ignore it. Mr Stalker is very practised at his art and makes sure there are no witnesses.

200th Anniversary of Emily Brontes Birth today. Complete subject change there........Wuthering heights re read in order starting to night me thinks.

A ruin, some rain and Yorkshire puds

It is raining. Comment worthy only because we have all fried to a decent golden colour in the sun. This is very unusual for Yorkshire. So when the  rain returns we all start  our winging selves and talk about the weather again. In the sun you see there are many more topics of conversation, not just our selves, our bad health and the weather. The sun not only brings out people clad to show tattoos and a lot of skin it also brings out hope and energises us to go other places, eat outside and generally enjoy.

That would be except the poor sods who died of heat. We saw the "private ambulance" from a local undertakers three times yesterday. Lee said it was the same one on different trips.
this morning then finds me drinking tea in bed. it is raining as i said and i can here the rythum of the drips coming in through the flat roof on the sun room. The garden and house are getting a though watering inside and out. My garden as a consequence is looking so beautiful. The effort of all the tip runs , weeding and digging in of new trees has really paid off now.
The rain has cooled down the air and so we all piled into the Fonz car and went to Spofforth castle ruins. The sun did come out between showers of rain....it was what I would call a lovely day.
Spofforth how it was back in the days of the Lords of the manor. I cut across the grass and headed straight to the ruin. in these days of 2018 I had with me two Barbie dolls and A Gene Doll to photograph. They have nothing to do with the history of the place....it is just something I do. take dolls out and photograph them in places I like.
Spofforth is a really pretty ancient village with a gorgeous church. This part of Yorkshire is referred to as The vale of York. Some of the houses and cottages are really dreamy. I would love to live here. I expect it is too expensive for me and Lee. I can tell by the menu at the pub that it is ! so to the ruin I went this day .This castle has withstood the wars of the roses, the hundred years war and the civil war.
It is a very romantic ruin once the family strong hold of the great Percy family. This family controlled Yorkshire. The king had no power here except through this family. The De Percy family
were awarded these lands when they came with the Normans and this was their main residence until the 14th century.

In these times Spofforth was a manor house surounded by a huge estate, park land and a lake.
Spoffoth castle  would have been more like a comfy manor house rather than a drafty castle. The parts of the court yard and principle chambers still remain. The court yard and parts of the inner chambers were hune into the rocks here. Turretts stood around the gate house and faced towards the village and church.
In 1461  the 3rd Earl of Northumberland was defeated and killed at the battle of Towton.
castle/house was badly damaged in retribution. by 1577 it was was pretty much a ruin.
The wars of the roses were fought between the houses of York and Lancaster for the English throne. The battle of Towton in 1461 was a decisive victory for the Yorkists. The 3rd Earl of Nortumberland. Henry Percy (1421-1461), who was one of the leaders in the Lancastrian forces was killed.
This is how Spofforth would have mapped out in those days and this is how it is today....
I cut straight to the front of the ruined castle , put down my bag and camera on the grass and busied myself putting dolls on stands. I ignored the children watching. They must have seen a Barbie doll before right?
Barbie with dreadlocks and a guitar....
I found this girl in a charity shop. She already had the dreadlocks. I have tried looking her up....I think she is from Mattel and came with a purple PVC suit.
I took a few photos here and then walked round to the other side and went into the castle...... I passed and read all the notices/plaques on my way .

So indeed welcome to Spofforth Castle....Here is Gene Doll.
the first chambers. The doors and arches as entrance are tiny! this does not really show in these photos....they were really little in those days!

The arch on the right would have lead to a spiral staircase to the turret...it has been closed off. I did look!!!
 The main hall.....
leading to the castle's own chapel.
This is how it would have looked...and here I photographed Barbie...Totally hair which I got for my birthday from Lee. This is the 25th anniversary reproduction doll.
I like the look of this. I would be tempted to buy all this and restore it.  That would be if I had a few million pounds. As I do not do the lottery or have a fabulous business brain this is not going to happen. so I settle on a few photos every now and then.
This is a fave ruin. There are two good reasons for this...it is near to my home and the site is free to visit.
Now it is Sunday morning. the rain continues " proper proper wiggling" as Lee so eloquentlyut it.
" not much going on with the Fenix car today them" he stated bringing me more tea.
The time has run on and I need to get on my green uniform and go.

Last night coming home I spotted a rainbow. by the time I had got home and got my camera it faded away.

Though I did get this picture of the swans in the wonderful light of the evening.

Back I will be later for Sunday roast of Yorkshire puds, gravy and chicken.
I have plenty more photos to show but I have to go now.

rain.

It is raining today. It rained all night and there was a storm including lightning. I walked back home just after 10pm last night and looked for the moon. There was none...just pink clouds. It was heralded as a blood moon too. None that I saw!. very disappointing.... just as well I forgot my camera ....  So this morning I woke up totally knackered and went back to sleep to the sound of rain.
rain!!!! this lets us into going to Wetherby and Spofforth ruined castle! have to wear shoes mind you.
Just looked outside. It is very much raining. Not a lot to see anyway. So I have used some of my tarn photos from a different day.

Monza is patiently waiting for us to get up. The heat is fabulous and we have been spending our days outside all day...to day is a relief I must say. We can go to the shops without worring about Monza who howls and is sick if we leave him in the house alone. He likes to come along in the Fonz car! the cooler rainy day makes it almost normal for Yorkshire!

Here we are yesterday . a very very very and I say again...VERY hot day. The ground and grass is cracked and brown......
This morning it is all green again!

We are listening to the radio. Haworth is the place to be today as there are all kinds of Bronte related celebrations going on. I just pointed this out to Lee. He pulled a face and shook his head.
More tea. then we can go out in the rain!!!

Frying Friday.

As it is Friday and I go out today up to 10pm tonight I thought I had best get up and go out. I spent about an hour over by the Tarn this morning and that cleared all my aches from the heat yesterday. I got dehydrated and it gave me a headache for my trouble. Frying Friday? hopefully it will not be me today. though it is forecast hot again.
Last night there was a thunder storm which did not make the heat any less. It was so hot . I just do not cope at all I am a pale skinned northerner. I have seen darker skinned not coping much better than me. This does not help. Everyone is orange. Everyone is orange and none of us can sleep either. so we are all orange tired and grouchy in the heat.
I dressed all in customary white and really loved the cool at 5am this morning.Others, dogs and runners were also enjoying the cool morning. Monza dog enjoyed the cool morning. I took him for his walk yesterday and he nearly passed out. We were in the shade too. Poor dog was in the car for all of four minutes with the windows right down. It takes 4 minutes to get to the walk place........
It is possibly going to be hot again judging by the colours this morning.
Any way today I brought along Cleo De Nile from Monster High series. I have not had her out for a long time. She was one of my first monster high dolls bought in Otley.
The three Gemima puddle ducks were out and in the water.....

I walked all around the Tarn this morning enjoying the cool...slowly! Irritating woman on bike whizzed past me and so did a runner. How can they do that?

It is cooler this morning...but it is still warm......
Swans and cynets were out...the cynets have got so big! how time runs on.
Same with the ducks. They were little fluffy balls not so long ago.

And I came across a morehen and actually got a good photo.
Then lastly I went to the bandstand and took a few more pictures vefore heading back for tea.

Look at the parched grass!!!

Now once home I checked the status of "the package from California"  which by the way is on the third stage of its journey on day 4. Does not look like it is out of the USA yet!! can I wait? well I do not have much choice do I???? A big box of dolls. !!! just have to wait.

An old one. Let's go Barbie!

aThe breakers yard,,,,,Lets go Barbie!........ A girly place to go!? ......well yes on this day     It turned out very well.  ...
