It's a wrap.

I have got up. Looked out of the french windows and made tea. I made more tea and then braved the cellar. First I edged around the piles of presents stacked in bags and post bags to the washing machines. Yes I have more than one.....and took out the washing and eased myself back around the piled up merchandise and hung out the washing in the small spaces left in between.
This year I am having decent presents. I am making sure that both Lee and Monza have a suitable offerings as well. Mostly I have bought my own Christmas presents and I am going to wrap them and hide them from myself until I open them on Christmas morning and tell myself  "this is what I always wanted!!! Thank you!"

The last count I have put up six trees of various types. There are more still upstairs in the loft but I have now run out of space and have had to move at least one to make space for the new freezer arriving to day. I decided I wanted lots of "stuff" you know all that food that I would never buy unless I was having a family of one hundred over. "We" have decided that we are getting a turkey this year and all the trimmings. ....smoked salmon and all the expensive nibbles that I would have enjoyed with Moet and Chandon. I would really have enjoyed the champagne too, pity as I can afford it this year. We are having "everything else" though. Even sprouts. They are traditional are they not!?
Lee has just given me a "look" and said " That is one noun that can be used for them"
"we don't need a whole turkey! we could get an "iceland ready prepared thing ready to cook" thing.... " stated Lee with slight panic coming through his Yorkshire dialect.........followed by " oh HECK!!"

" we are having a turkey and trimmings." I stated.
Monza briefly raised his head and looked around at me then dozed back to sleep.


So Christmas presents. I have bought my own. I am sooo bloody fed up with "S**T" .....red wine.....even when I did drink I never drank that...A real irritation every year.....Money ....yes I consider that a real disappointment and a "S**T* present as it always arrives too late to buy anything to unwrap and then it just gets spent on bills ......even then it's still un thought about can not be bothered present. Mind you it is better than red wine I suppose. Lee has been given beer in tins and twenty pack of Cigarettes......yes !!!I really do consider these "S**T!!" ...ungrateful bitch am I not!?

  Thorntons chocolates.......the latest best seller....even a book/CD/DVD.......perfume???? new mobile phone.....a Christmas doll(a boxed Barbie perhaps) ....a Christmas planter..   jewellery .....something gorgeous in a little box that sparkles in the candle light.......in fact a lovely candle even.........all these things have never been given us for Christmas in the last ten years!!!!
Where are all the socks, jumpers and pyjamas featuring father Christmas? oh yes they come under  the next category.........


Then of course there are all the hand on presents. All the "S**T" that others have been given and recycle back into the stream of disappointment......and lastly there is the just plain nothing .  Plain nothing is mostly what we have other years. So buy your own is what I say.

The piles of stuff down in my cellar are all the offerings for this Christmas. Ebay.....junk shops...toy shops....just piles of stuff I have been collecting since Halloween. I have surprised myself as to just how much when I went down today....So now I have to wrap it all.
 I have just read this blog to Lee. He was kind of hoping to find out just what is down in the cellar!!!!!
Best get to it then. keeping Monza dog off this wrapped presents is going to involve some ingenuity though. Filling time until the freezer arrives.........then MORE SHOPPING!!!!!

 We have also decorated the log cabin this year. We nearly got snow to complete the scene. I am back in warm bed waiting for the sun to arrive in the sky and listening to the weather forecast......it sounds like it might miss us again.....

So I leave you this cold morning with My Bratz Christmas decorations and go to brave the piles of merchandise to wrap up in secret for the great one day. Christmas day.

Feed the world is playing on the radio and Lee is watching Utube videos on how to build a house and then photograph it using a drone and Monza?? well he is asleep. It is still very early.
