A hot night after a hot day. But I did not care as I was in work all day. only home in time to water the garden.......Monza was hot even though I opened up the french windows for him and he lay with his nose outside.....he was downstairs by the time I went out of the house about 4am. Monza was a sleep on the cool kitchen tiles and not interested in going out. I trotted about with the birds singing on my own. I had by the way got dressed in proper day clothes...I have given up pyjamas in public now. It is always on the mornings I have Pyjamas hanging out over my quickly arranged boots and long cardigan that I get seen !. I have enough troubles ...so I do not need Pyjamas in the mix as well.
Sadly now my morning walks have become more considered and I have to check who is about. As an encounter with paranoid drunk junkies yelling at each other ruins my day and bursts my little bubble of peace and beauty....
My intentions were to go into the town itself and photograph moon light..... but the draw of the light on the water drew me in . besides the town looked really boring by comparison.
So this morning was peaceful as it always was. I only saw one lonely fisherman and a lot of birds. Just the way I like it.
Last night I was poking around on ebay and email.....and I had received a message back from some research I am doing regarding friends coming from USA to visit their Yorkshire roots.
Lee and I are booked on to a Heritage tour of a ruined castle for September. My friends are still on the plane flying in to Manchester on the day. I have to go!!!! I have spent so much time finding bits of this history .....very excited. So I was musing to myself as a walked back ...
So I mused to myself some more....my friends are not here until September. Now I have already found some walks and ruins relating to their family....Now I need to find some graves. I know the location. But will it still be visible ? a grave from 1600s! they are rare.......
I have been wanting to go to this site for a long long few years. one thing and another! it has not happened. Usually the old van breaking down or just that the old van could not get as far as needed....or it would get to the destination and then brake down...whatever!
I walked all up by the airport trying to get some pics that were a bit different.....
And walking back I spotted a rainbow......
by the time I got back to the Tarn it had begun to fade.....
So off for a few hours and then.........DAYS OFF!!!!
Tuesday morning. early as ever. rain rain rain and more rain. So I drank a lot of tea. Monza looked at us mornfully. We planned a walk in the woods for the day.....
"how far away is Pickering?" I asked Lee.
"about sixty miles. Yer want to go IN THIS!?"
So I washed my latest rescue doll whilst drinking more tea.
Good and Mucky she was too.........
I put her out in the sun room to dry. Still raining and still drinking tea.....Then it rained some more and I drank yet more tea.
