Fifty six years, twenty dolls and a beheaded queen

Fifty six years, twenty dolls and a beheaded queen. Not bad at all. I worked out very early today that it was not up to much as far as good weather could be expected. So I went out early hoping for a spectacular sun rise...came to the conclusion that it is not happening and went back to bed with Monza dog and the inevitable cup of tea.
I opened all the presents that Lee had been sneaking around to buy and hide.........A clever telly! that is the main present. Lee has been saving up Nectar points for months and this week he went to collect it with out me knowing.........Otherwise known as a smart television.

Bratz dolls from a charity shop which were also hidden from me....bought with money given by father,,,,,
So I am fifty six years old officially at 11am. That is one year on from fifty five and two years from fifty eight. My mum died of cancer at fifty eight years old and very pissed off she was too. As this age creeps up on me I can understand that much better. I had a kick up the back side a couple of years ago. at fifty six I am only just getting to grips with this life thing. It takes up most of the ever shortening time ......
This year I am not going to the pub or even having a bottle of bubbly......done that . Done that enough.

A well meaning neighbour called in whilst Monza was out! and gave me a bottle of wine as a present. I guess I still look like an alcoholic. Still they were not to know that I do not drink. It is very unusual here!

First a quick dog walk in the rain........
Then Kirkstall retail park to buy a new boxed doll from Ever After series and a look in the big charity shop.....Lee bought some jump leads!!!!

It is now Sunday morning and we are just having the conversation over where to go...read Lee my blog and then drink more tea part of the day.
I went onto the computer...my pink laptop which Lee found in a bin and rejigged for me.....and prepared to read to Lee.....

THE BUGGERY THING HAS EATEN IT AGAIN!!! it did this yesterday too. it has gone back to the draft I saved yesterday. I now see why this laptop was in the bin!!!!
The Bratz dolls that I have now started to wash.....Another present Lee hid that arrived with the postman was a bubble wrapped Alison Weir book about Anne Boleyn......
So I put the Tudors on my clever telly and whilst the bratz were soaking in fabric conditioner...I started to read.
Later we went for a walk all around the Tarn and
ate ice cream.....

Sunday morning and the sun is out!!! yes really.
So what do do on my day off!? I usually work Saturday night and all day sunday. I booked it off all the way back in February.....So to be asked to cancel and work by my teenager manager was a real irritation. They were short on the first Sunday of the school holidays. whoops.

So choices.....Wakefield to the Barbara Hepworth Museum....there is a height restriction on the car park and Rusty van could not go....To park anywhere else is a five act play fiasco farse. so up to now we have never been...

The Royal Armouries in Leeds...pretty much the same applies...

or Knareborough.....

Lee has come back from his morning smoke and tells me it is too hot today.

Another farcical wasted day off then.
