 valentines day turned out misty. We headed off over The Chevin in rusty the van, with Monza the big dog aboard, poor dog was a bit jammed in
.He has got even bigger.....more exercise required for dogs and this human me thinks. It is us getting larger not the likelihood of the van shrinking.So if Monza and I both loose weight we will fit just fine, as we always did on van journeys......
We parked in a quiet place. Lee and I headed straight to the e cigarette shop.....why? Well this is our last ditch attempt at getting lee to give up smoking

On Tuesday we went for his rheumatoid arthritis appointment at Chapel Allerton Hospital. Now a yearly "thing"
Lee was doing really well....the magic new meds were working a treat... Holding the arthritis at bay.

My run in with the medical profession last year has caused much emotional crisis, lee was very badly effected and it all caused a flare of pain and swellings    The advice from the Professor himself, was that emotional stress and smoking are the worst possible thing for arthritis.
 I can tell you also that breast cancer and surgery are bad too........that would be mine!     He was in tears when I went into surgery. He was in tears still eight hours later when I came out of surgery. I found out later that he had been on the phone to mother crying......also it did not help that we did not realize that the house phone was not working. The hospital had been trying to phone with updates.....and had got no answer........so in short the hospital nurses thought there was no answer from Lee....and Lee thought they were not phoning as the damn  thing was not ringing in the house....but sounded like it to the caller.

So consequently he was totally freaked out, over and above already freaked.

Apart from all of this his appointment went well this time and he was given an injection of steroids into his back end. This livened him up no end....no pun intended. ...however it is quite a good one.
 The injection was to help settle him. and help with pain. even so they were pleased with the way his meds performance.....

This week a lovely van customer gave me a tip.....that was for me! As I helped him move. I did what I could without causing myself a whoopsy. Which really on this scale was not a lot really.

 So for valentines day I decided to put it towards a starter kit of E cigarettes for  Lee. As luck was on our side for once, he was given a nice juicey tip himself......so we went wild and bought the not so basic kit.

So there we were in the E cigarettes shop in Otley on valentines day buying a "vaping kit"  in the mist.

So romance is not dead.

We were in the shop nearly an hour. What I knew about smoking before I went into this shop, really was not a lot. What I know about technology is really not a lot. 

Way back when I played My Souxie records and dressed in shredded jeans did I think that I would be at at the age of 53 buying my husband and electronic vapor device for valentines day. This thought never once crossed my little mind....whilst I Stuck on my false eye lashes and painted my nails black .......was never ever a consideration.

Lee was delighted with this new toy. He tried it in the shop. The sales guy did have to put into the device the highrst amout of nicotine on the highest vape for Lee to "get the kick"....kick it did...oh boy did it!!!!?

So off to Weegeman's to buy Monza a juicey bone, and some sausages as usual...we skipped the junk shops and "vaped straight home"

I discovered Where eagles dare on telly. Staring Richard Burton. I am just reading about Richard. 

ohhh deep goody joy. 

Lee went out to his work shop. I opened a bottle of wine and watched the film..

Monza the dog chomped his bone noisily by the wood burner.....happy valentine days.

so where does the salmon come in!? well that is what we had for our valentine dinner....salmon...dill and lemon sauce...followed by very naughty ice cream and fiz.
