Plenty of time this day.

After Monza's first walk we stopped off at surprise view on the Otley Chevin. I had with me a bag full of dolls. Not just one today.....three from the 1960s and a couple of Barbie dolls.

This is a Roddy vinyl doll from the 1960's.
just by surprise view is this dry stone wall.....

just by The Royalty pub.....
Next we went to Ilkley the bumpy way. Now that we have the Fonz car it makes for a much lumpier ride as in a big van traffic calming bumps were not as apparent..Going the pretty country route to ilkley past the cow and calf rocks can now be a very bone rattling experience.
We went that way anyway and headed through the town to the woods and parked up the Fonz car.
This is our first "dog adventure" of this year.....

Muddy it was and just beginning to rain. this was though! As I had promised Monza, so walking in the woods we were going. Rain or shine.
We spotted another dog walker heading towards us on the bottom path. So we went straight up to the moor where the swastika stone lies.
The other dog walker had made it to the gate a long time before us. We were not going up on the moor any way as there are sheep..........
This was confirmed as I saw a white jack russell charging about making the sheep baaaaaaHHHH
We did not get to the Swastika stone this time either! it is tantalisingly near..... just where the railings can be see in this photo. I dare not take Monza where there are any sheep. or other dogs come to that!!!
we walked along the top and back down.......

Until we saw a mass of "ramblers" walking towards us. Evasive action required us to go off the paths and hide behind some rocks so that Monza could not see them. They were proper walkers. I could tell  as they were all in "anything goes all weather gear" with walking sticks and back packs.and on the path to go and see the standing stones and swastika stone.
We let them pass and then headed back to the muddy path. This time of year this is possible. in summer the place is brambles.

view from the bottom of the woods. Monza went back to the car and I got the doll bag out....

here we have a Roddy doll and I think a pedigree and then another Roddy......

From here we parked up again at a supermarket car park. Monza we left dozing in the back and went to hunt for dolls and stuff in the charity shops.

 Barbie accompanied us.....
past Bettys tea rooms.....to the second to last charity shop.....
 where I found this lovely....
 Then for coffee at Wetherspoons.....

This is the complete haul for the day...plus a bag of clothes and handbags etc......some little diddy bratz dolls too.

Yes! we went to Boyes haberdashery and no we did not buy anything.

Once home  I started the garden. I have decided anything I do not like or am sick of the sight of...is going to the tip. So with this in mind I ripped down the trellis and a very over grown clematis in the front garden......
Now I have about five or six tip runs to get rid of it all.
